Industrial systems and Operational Technology (OT) networks were originally designed with the assumption they would not be exposed to threats. However, with the rise of Industry 4.0, digitalisation and the emergence of Cloud computing, OT systems get connected to the Internet and interconnected with Information Technology (IT) networks. While this largely opens the door to new development opportunities, it makes IT and OT networks also further exposed to a vast cybersecurity threat landscape. Moreover, it leads to a convergence between IT and OT networks, meaning they can no longer be kept separate in terms of security approach.
FEDIL and the Digital Innovation Hub of Luxinnovation together with SECURITYMADEIN.LU are delighted to invite you to a Cybersecurity breakfast: “How to effectively address security of industrial systems?” to be held on Thursday, 21st October.
During this breakfast, experts will present the key trends in security in the Industry 4.0, how IT and OT systems converge and must be protected. The Luxembourg Digital Innovation Hub (L-DIH) will as well introduce its activities and role as a key enabler of your digital transformation journey. It will also be the occasion for you to discover FEDIL’s « Cybersecurity Assessment Online Tool ». The tool enables companies and organisations to carry out their own assessment in order to evaluate their current level of security and thus, adopt a cybersecurity policy that best suits their objectives and needs, to be presented by EY Luxembourg.
